HOW IT WORKS
What is Nova Curation?
Nova Curation is a thrift-based rotating closet designed for everyday life. We handpick our 100% thrifted inventory focusing on pieces that are unique in style! Rent monthly to refresh your wardrobe without overconsumption, clutter, or commitment OR find something you love and make it yours forever.
How does the subscription work?
Add the subscription to the cart, browse The Closet, note your selection in the special instructions box at checkout, and receive a curated selection of clothing each month. Wear your pieces as often as you’d like for one month, then return them to receive your next curation. No long-term commitment required.
How much is a subscription and what is included?
Our current plan cost $59 (limited spots) for the first month and then $74 plus tax where applicated for 4 items. Your plan includes free shipping, returns, laundry services, and damage protection*

What kind of clothing do you offer?
We offer handpicked thrifted items that are unique in style. We also have a vast selection of 100% cottons, silks, and more. We believe in providing you with your dream wardrobe without the hassle. Let's make getting dress fun again!
Are thrifted clothes hygienic?
Yes. All Nova Curation pieces go through a thorough cleaning process after each rental. We use premium cleaning products and tailor our methods to the garment, whether that means machine washing or gentle handwashing. Each item is inspected, cleaned, and prepared before it ever reaches your closet.
RENTAL CLEANING & REPAIRS
How do you clean the clothes?
All Nova Curation pieces go through a thorough cleaning process after each rental. We use premium cleaning products and tailor our methods to the garment, whether that means machine washing or gentle handwashing. Each item is inspected, cleaned, and prepared before it ever reaches your closet.
Do I need to wash or dry clean my rentals before returning them?
Leave the cleaning to us! You do not need to wash or dry clean your clothes before sending it back.
Can I wash my rentals?
We ask you not to wash your items, but if necessary, please follow the care tag label inside of the garment. In general, we encourage cold washing in a lingerie bag + laying flat to air dry (Please do not tumble dry to avoid shrinkage.)
Note: If the tag says "Dry Clean Only," do not hand or machine wash the item.
If I damage or stain my rentals, are there damage fees?
Normal ware and tear such as, a wine splash, muddy paw print, or makeup stain, etc are protected under your subscription. No need to worry!
Extreme changes to the garment are subject to damage fees. Please see terms and conditions for more information.
RENTAL SHIPPING & RETURNS
How much is shipping and returns?
Shipping is free and is included with your subscription price. There is also free returns.
How do I return my bundle?
Please repack your items back into the reusable mailer and zip it up! Place the pre-paid label in the clear slot on the front of the mailer. Finally head to your nearest UPS to drop off your package.
When do I return my items?
All items must be returned by the end of your billing period unless otherwise stated.
Simply use the return label provided.
What happens if my return is late?
Late returns may result in additional charges or automatic purchase of the item. If you're running late, please contact us as soon as possible at novacuration@gmail.com
RENTAL ORDERS & EXCHANGES
Can I exchange an item after my order ships?
Unfortunately no. Once your order has been submitted and processed, items cannot be exchanged, swapped, or replaced during that rental period.
Because our inventory consists of one-of-a-kind, 100% thrifted pieces, availability is limited. We encourage you to carefully review your selections, sizes, and shipping details before finalizing your order.
You’ll be able to choose new items at the start of your next rental cycle.
One of my items didn't fit, can I exchange it?
We’re unable to offer mid-cycle exchanges for sizing. Please review measurements carefully before submitting your order.
If you ever need help with sizing before placing an order, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help!
What if I received the wrong item or something is defective?
If we made a mistake with your order or an item arrives significantly damaged beyond expected wear, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can review and resolve the issue.
RENTAL WEAR & DAMANGE
Will I be charged for stains or normal wear?
No! We do not charge for normal, everyday wear such as:
- Minor food or drink stains
- Dirt or surface marks
- Light fabric wear
- Loose threads
Clothing is meant to be worn — especially thrifted pieces — and we expect reasonable use.
What counts as excessive damage?
You may be charged if an item is returned severely damaged beyond normal wear and tear. Examples include:
- Large rips, tears, or holes
- Burn marks
- Permanent staining that cannot be treated
- Major stretching or distortion
- Unauthorized alterations
- Lost items
If an item is deemed extremely destroyed or beyond repair, a damage or replacement fee may apply.
How are damage fees determined?
Damage fees are assessed at our reasonable discretion and may be up to the fair market or replacement value of the item.
We always aim to be fair and reasonable.
What if I accidentally damage something?
Accidents happen. If something significant occurs (large tear, burn, etc.), please contact us as soon as possible so we can advise next steps.
SUBSCRIPTION, CANCELLATION & PAUSING
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
Cancellation becomes effective after:
- All rented items have been returned, and
- Any outstanding charges have been processed.
Please navigate to your Shopify profile. Go to the "Orders" tab and click on "Manage Subscription"
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes! You may pause your subscription at any time through your account.
When paused:
- You will not be billed.
- You will not receive new rental shipments.
- Any currently rented items must still be returned according to your billing cycle.
You can resume your subscription whenever you're ready.
Please navigate to your Shopify profile. Go to the "Orders" tab and click on "Manage Subscription"
Will I get a refund if I cancel mid-month?
Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has started.
You will continue to have access to your rental items until the end of your current billing period.
What happens if I don’t return my items?
Items not returned by the end of your rental cycle may be considered purchased, and you may be charged up to the item’s fair market or replacement value.

OWNING
What is your return/exchange policy?
Each item is handpicked just for you - and often one-of-a-kind - which means we don’t accept returns or exchanges for outright purchases. If something arrives damaged or very different from what was described, reach out promptly and we’ll do our best to make it right. You can find the full details on our Returns & Exchanges page.
How can I track my order?
Please check your email for a tracking number and see where your bundle is. If you don’t see an email within a few days of purchase, check your spam folder or send us a note.
OTHER
What does it NWT mean?
NWT is used to label clothing that has new with tags and hasn't been worn by someone. The item has been cleaned before being rented.
